P.S. 170X is a joyful, inclusive community school serving children from 3K through 3rd grade in the heart of the Mount Eden community in the Bronx. For decades, P.S. 170X proudly served families as an early childhood center, building a strong foundation rooted in care, creativity, and a deep understanding of how young children learn. That legacy continues to shape who we are today.

Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, P.S. 170X entered into a new chapter as a growing elementary school under the new leadership of Principal Dr. Jermaine D. Dickerson. This year marks the school’s first-ever third grade, a significant milestone in our intentional growth. P.S. 170X will continue to add one grade level each year until becoming a full 3K–5 elementary school, providing long-term continuity and opportunity for the children and families we serve.
